* The Egyptian Revolutionary Council has called on the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to "withdraw" from the Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians in Sharm El-Sheikh held Wednesday. The Council condemned the IPU's decision to partner with the Egyptian government to hold the conference. The Council stated that the IPY has an obligation to protect fellow parliamentarians, but ever since the military coup in 2013, 171 Egyptian MPs have been imprisoned and many are in exile and face imprisonment or worse if they return. The IPU has not completed its role of defended the rights of elected MPs, but instead has been used to legitimize the "one of the most tyrannical regimes in the region"

* دعا المجلس الثوري المصري الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي إلى "الانسحاب" من المؤتمر العالمي للبرلمانيين الشباب المنعقد في شمر الشيخ يوم الأربعاء. وأدان المجلس قرار الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي الشراكة مع الحكومة المصرية لعقد المؤتمر. وأوضح المجلس أن السنة القطبية الدولية ملزمة بحماية زملائهم البرلمانيين، ولكن منذ الانقلاب العسكري عام 2013، سُجن 171 نائباً مصرياً والعديد منهم في المنفى ويواجهون السجن أو أسوأ إذا عادوا. لم يكمل الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي دوره في الدفاع عن حقوق النواب المنتخبين، بل استخدم بدلاً من ذلك لإضفاء الشرعية على "أحد أكثر الأنظمة استبدادًا في المنطقة".
الاقتصاد وريادة الأعمال
* The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and the Young Economists Network Program held a high-level policy dialogue on the future of economics and investment in Africa. During her speech, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed said that investing in the new generation has always been rewarding, referring to the main issue at hand, which covers the path paved by the Young Economists Network, towards empowering youth and giving them the opportunity to develop a macroeconomic model to contribute to achieving the 2030 global sustainable development plan and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Africa for the year 2063. Al-Saeed added that Africa's future will be shaped by young minds, who will be raised to take charge of the macroeconomic direction in which the continent is moving.
* The project office of the first robotics park in the Middle East was opened in Al Rusayl Industrial City in Oman. Just earlier this month, Al Rusayl Industrial City had signed an agreement with Sandy Valley Robotics to implement the park on an area of 3.2mn sqm. The park is expected to generate 15,000 jobs, and will include workshops for manufacturing robots of all kinds. The park will also have a research and development center for robotics and artificial intelligence. The park will open its doors to youth innovators and entrepreneurs and will train Omanis to equip them with new technologies immediately so they can get jobs and opportunities in the field of robotics.
* Al-Futtaim group hosted an Open Day to recruit Emirati youth. The event was attended by hundreds of young Emiratis looking for job opportunities in the private sector. All attendees were interviewed to work across all departments of the group and affiliated sectors. This event is in line with UAE's Emiratization policy.

* عقدت وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والمعهد القومي للحوكمة والتنمية المستدامة، وبرنامج شبكة الاقتصاديين الشباب، حوار سياسي رفيع المستوى حول مستقبل الاقتصاد والاستثمار في أفريقيا. خلال كلمتها قالت د. هالة السعيد إن الاستثمار في الجيل الجديد لطالما كان مجزيًا، متطرقه إلى القضية الأساسية المطروحة، والتي تغطي المسار الذي مهدته شبكة الاقتصاديين الشباب، نحو تمكين الشباب ومنحهم الفرصة لوضع نموذج الاقتصاد الكلي للمساهمة في تحقيق خطة التنمية المستدامة العالمية لعام 2030 وخطة أفريقيا لعام 2063. وأضافت السعيد أن مستقبل أفريقيا ستشكله العقول الشابة، التي ستنشأ على تولي المسئولية حول الاتجاه الاقتصادي الكلي الذي تسير فيه القارة.
* تم افتتاح مكتب مشروع أول حديقة للروبوتات في الشرق الأوسط في مدينة الرسيل الصناعية في سلطنة عمان. في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر، وقعت مدينة الرسيل الصناعية اتفاقية مع شركة "ساندي فالي روبوتكس" لتنفيذ الحديقة على مساحة 3.2 مليون متر مربع. ومن المتوقع أن تخلق الحديقة 15000 وظيفة، وستتضمن ورش عمل لتصنيع الروبوتات بجميع أنواعها. ستحتوي الحديقة أيضًا على مركز أبحاث وتطوير للروبوتات والذكاء الاصطناعي. ستفتح الحديقة أبوابها للمبدعين الشباب ورواد الأعمال وستقوم بتدريب العمانيين لتزويدهم بالتقنيات الجديدة على الفور حتى يتمكنوا من الحصول على وظائف وفرص في مجال الروبوتات.
* استضافت مجموعة الفطيم يوم مفتوح لتوظيف الشباب الإماراتي. حضر الفعالية المئات من الشباب الإماراتي الباحثين عن فرص عمل في القطاع الخاص. تمت مقابلة جميع الحاضرين للعمل في جميع أقسام المجموعة والقطاعات التابعة. يتماشى هذا الحدث مع سياسة التوطين في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

* In a report published on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the start of the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, the non-governmental organization Save the Children warned that 80% of the children of the Palestinian Strip suffer from psychological distress. Since 2018, the number of Gaza children complaining of symptoms of “depression, sadness and fear” has risen from 55 percent to 80 percent, according to the report. "The children we spoke to during the preparation of this report described their feelings as a constant state of fear, anxiety and sadness," said Jason Lee, the organization's director in the Palestinian territories. The organization stated that children constitute nearly half of the population of the Gaza Strip, and that 800,000 young people in the Strip "have not experienced life without the siege."
* A Palestinian was shot dead by the Israeli army in the occupied West Bank, and the killing of the Palestinian came a day after the Israeli army launched airstrikes on sites in the Gaza Strip affiliated with the Islamic Hamas movement ruling in the Strip, after a missile was fired from it at Israel. Israel launches airstrikes on Gaza as a response to rockets being launched towards Israeli occupied territory. As a response, Israel launched several airstrikes on different locations. The Israeli military claimed that the airstrikes targeted weapon factories and three military locations for Hamas.

* حذّرت منظمة "أنقذوا الأطفال" غير الحكومية، في تقرير نشرته بمناسبة مرور 15 عاماً على بدء الحصار الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة، من أنّ 80 في المائة من أطفال القطاع الفلسطيني يعانون من ضائقة نفسية. منذ عام 2018 ارتفع عدد أطفال غزة الذين يشتكون من أعراض "الاكتئاب والحزن والخوف” من 55 في المائة إلى 80 في المائة، حسب التقرير. وقال مدير المنظمة في الأراضي الفلسطينية جيسون لي، إنّ "لأطفال الذين تحدثنا إليهم خلال إعداد هذا التقرير وصفوا مشاعرهم بأنّها بحالة دائمة من الخوف والقلق والحزن". وأوضحت المنظمة أنّ الأطفال يشكلون ما يقرب من نصف سكان القطاع، وأن 800 ألف شاب في القطاع "لم يختبروا الحياة من دون الحصار".
* قُتل فلسطيني برصاص الجيش الإسرائيلي في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، وجاء مقتل الفلسطيني غداة شن الجيش الإسرائيلي ضربات جوية على مواقع في قطاع غزة تابعة لحركة حماس الإسلامية الحاكمة في القطاع، بعدما أُطلق منه صاروخ في اتجاه اسرائيل. شنت اسرائيل غارات جوية على غزة ردا على إطلاق صواريخ باتجاه الاراضي المحتلة. وردا على ذلك شنت إسرائيل عدة غارات جوية على مواقع مختلفة. زعم الجيش الإسرائيلي أن الغارات الجوية استهدفت مصانع أسلحة وثلاثة مواقع عسكرية لحركة حماس.

* Participants in the annual meeting of Al-Quds University board called for the formation of an Arab, Islamic and International donor alliance to support the occupied city of Jerusalem. The meeting was held in Istanbul, Turkey and lasted three days with Palestinian, Arab and Muslim scholars from different Arab and Muslim countries participating. The alliance is meant to support the healthcare, education and youth sectors in Jerusalem.
* State minister for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs Nabila Makram said the ministry is keen on cooperation with serval institutions and international organization to attain the UN goals after her meeting with the Deputy Director General of the International Organization for Migration Ugochi Daniels, the head of the IOM's mission in Egypt Laurent de Bock and IOM's Senior Regional Advisor for MENA, Othman Belbeisi to discuss ways of boosting joint cooperation. The minister praised the IOM's level of cooperation with international institutions to attain sustainable development. The meeting tackled the ministry's efforts to combat illegal immigration as well as presidential initiatives. Laurent de Bock voiced his appreciation for the ministry's cooperation and the "National Strategy on Combating Illegal Migration" as well as its efforts in training youth.
* Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice President of the Arab Youth Center, praised the pioneering global results of the “My Story” podcast, launched by the Arab Youth Center in cooperation with Sky News Arabia, after it ranked first globally in terms of listening times during This week in the educational podcast category, the second globally in the economics and entrepreneurship podcast category, in addition to the first and second places in the “Education” and “Economy and Entrepreneurship” categories, the “My Story” series ranked 19th worldwide in the general classification, and it presents a selection of life experiences for Arab youth who were able to create a unique model for personal and societal success despite the challenges. Various stories emerged in this context that dealt with experiences that show the role of will in overcoming difficulties, international successes in the most prestigious international forums, and the importance of persistence in making success.

* دعا المشاركون في الاجتماع السنوي لمجلس جامعة القدس إلى تشكيل تحالف مانح عربي وإسلامي ودولي لدعم مدينة القدس المحتلة. عقد الاجتماع في اسطنبول بتركيا واستمر ثلاثة أيام بمشاركة علماء فلسطينيين وعرب ومسلمين من مختلف الدول العربية والإسلامية. يهدف التحالف إلى دعم قطاعات الرعاية الصحية والتعليم والشباب في القدس.
* قالت وزيرة الدولة للهجرة وشؤون المصريين المغتربين، نبيلة مكرم، إن الوزارة حريصة على التعاون مع المؤسسات الخدمية والمنظمات الدولية لتحقيق أهداف الأمم المتحدة بعد اجتماعها مع نائب المدير العام للمنظمة الدولية للهجرة أوجوتشي دانيلز، رئيس مهمة المنظمة الدولية للهجرة في مصر لوران دي بوك، والمستشار الإقليمي الأول للمنظمة الدولية للهجرة لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، عثمان بلبيسي، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك. وأشادت الوزيرة بمستوى تعاون المنظمة الدولية للهجرة مع المؤسسات الدولية لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة. وتناول الاجتماع جهود الوزارة في مكافحة الهجرة غير الشرعية وكذلك المبادرات الرئاسية. وعبر لوران دي بوك عن تقديره لتعاون الوزارة و "الإستراتيجية الوطنية لمكافحة الهجرة غير الشرعية" وكذلك جهودها في تدريب الشباب.
* ثمنت شما بنت سهيل المزروعي وزيرة دولة لشؤون الشباب ونائب رئيس مركز الشباب العربي، النتائج العالمية الرائدة التي حظي بها بودكاست سلسلة "قصتي" الذي أطلقه مركز الشباب العربي بالتعاون مع قناة "سكاي نيوز عربية" بعد حلوله في المركز الأول عالميا من حيث مرات الاستماع خلال الأسبوع الجاري في فئة البودكاست التعليمي والثاني عالمياً في فئة بودكاست الاقتصاد وريادة الأعمال، إلى جانب المركزين الأول والثاني في فئتي "التعليم" و"الاقتصاد وريادة الأعمال"، حلت سلسلة "قصتي" في المركز 19 على مستوى العالم في التصنيف العام. سلسلة "قصتي تقديم نخبة من التجارب الحياتية لشباب عربي تمكن من صنع نموذج متفرد للنجاح الشخصي والمجتمعي على الرغم من التحديات، وبرزت في هذا الإطار قصص متنوعة تناولت تجارب تُظهر دور الإرادة في تجاوز الصعوبات ونجاحات دولية في أرقى المحافل العالمية وأهمية الإصرار في صنع النجاح.
التعليم
* SABIC and the Pearl Initiative, a non-profit organization focused on corporate accountability and transparency in the Gulf region, launched a business series to raise awareness amongst university students on conscious and unconscious biases in the world place. Over 30 students from King Saudi University participated in the first session. The discussion focused on broadening the horizon of the future workforce and equipping students with the practical know-how and tools that will help them anticipate, overcome and break the bias. Students were introduced to different types of biases , such ageism and gender bias.
* The Hospitality major Hilton has partnered with Bunyan for Training, a local affiliate of Swiss hospitality management school Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne to train young Saudi talent willing to enter the industry. The program will allow select students to receive advanced theoretical and practical curricula certified by the school and accredited by Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. It also allows students to pursue a bachelor's degree and expand their skill set across a variety of hospitality professions. This program has been designed to provide youth with job opportunities across Hilton Hotels by providing expert coaching and real-life work experience.

* أطلقت شركة سابك ومبادرة بيرل، وهي منظمة غير ربحية تركز على مساءلة الشركات والشفافية في منطقة الخليج، سلسلة أعمال لرفع مستوى الوعي بين طلاب الجامعات حول التحيزات الواعية واللاواعية في العالم. وشارك في الدورة الأولى أكثر من 30 طالباً وطالبة من جامعة الملك سعود. ركزت المناقشة على توسيع أفق القوى العاملة المستقبلية وتزويد الطلاب بالمعرفة العملية والأدوات التي ستساعدهم على توقع التحيز والتغلب عليه وكسره. تم تعريف الطلاب بأنواع مختلفة من التحيزات، مثل التمييز ضد الشيخوخة والتحيز الجنساني.
* أبرمت شركة الضيافة الكبرى هيلتون شراكة مع "بنيان للتدريب"، وهي شركة محلية تابعة لمدرسة إدارة الضيافة السويسرية – لوزان، وذلك لتدريب المواهب السعودية الشابة الراغبة في دخول هذه الصناعة. وسيسمح البرنامج للطلاب المختارين بالحصول على مناهج نظرية وعملية متقدمة معتمدة من المدرسة ومعتمدة من قبل المدرسة الجامعية في لوزان. كما يسمح للطلاب بمتابعة درجة البكالوريوس وتوسيع مجموعة مهاراتهم عبر مجموعة متنوعة من مهن الضيافة. تم تصميم هذا البرنامج لتزويد الشباب بفرص عمل عبر فنادق هيلتون من خلال توفير تدريب خبير وخبرة عمل واقعية.

* The Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council participated in the work of the Eighth Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union: "Young Representatives for Climate Action", which was held over two days in Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt. In the session on "Parliamentary Action to Combat Climate Change", HE Mira Al-Suwaidi reviewed the efforts of the United Arab Emirates in addressing the phenomenon of climate change, noting that the UAE plays a leading role in international efforts to address the phenomenon of climate change, and its effects at the regional and international levels. Several initiatives and supporting legislation were presented in this regard, the most important of which is the allocation of a ministry to deal with this issue in particular. The conference sessions discussed the state of climate change and its impact on human rights, parliamentary action to combat climate change, supporting developing countries in addressing climate change, presenting studies on enabling young parliamentarians to assume leadership roles in their countries in this field, and presenting new technologies and innovations to combat climate change.

* شاركت الشعبة البرلمانية للمجلس الوطني الاتحادي، في أعمال المؤتمر العالمي الثامن للبرلمانين الشباب للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي: "النواب الشباب من أجل العمل المناخي"، الذي عقد على مدى يومين في شرم الشيخ بجمهورية مصر العربية. واستعرضت سعادة ميرة السويدي في الجلسة التي تناولت موضوع "العمل البرلماني لمكافحة تغير المناخ"، جهود دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في التصدي لظاهرة التغير المناخي، مشيرة إلى ان دولة الإمارات تلعب دوراً قيادياً في الجهود الدولية المبذولة للتصدي لظاهرة التغير المناخي، وآثاره على المستوى الإقليمي والدولي، وقدمت العديد من المبادرات والتشريعات الداعمة بهذا الصدد أهمها هو تخصيص وزارة تعنى بهذه القضية بشكل خاص. وناقشت جلسات المؤتمر حالة تغير المناخ وتأثيره على حقوق الإنسان، والعمل البرلماني لمكافحة تغير المناخ، ودعم الدول النامية في التصدي للتغير المناخي، وعرض دراسات حول تمكين البرلمانين الشباب من تولي أدوار قيادية في بلدانهم في هذا المجال، وعرض التقنيات الجديدة والابتكارات المستحدثة لمكافحة التغير المناخي.
