* The Washington Post published a report in which it discusses that many Tunisians have abandoned the democracy achieved through the Arab Spring as a result of frustration and lack of improvement in economic conditions. The report adds that the sense of despair contrasts with the optimism of 2011 when Tunisians poured in from abroad to help build the country and support the revolution. Their sense of a better future was so contagious that it spread throughout the Arab world.
* A report by Middle East Eye confirmed that a large number of unemployed Iraqi youths participated in the sit-ins of the Sadrist movement inside the Green Zone, pointing out that they find in this a measure of hope to solve their problems. The report stated that "Iraqis live in a flaming atmosphere at a time when all successive governments have failed to provide stable electricity, clean water, or health services," It added that "the protesters have controlled the parliament building since July 30, after the Coordination Framework Bloc chose their candidate, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, supported by former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, to occupy the position of prime minister."
* The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs is organizing the “Voice of Youth” program in its second edition, within the activities of Youth City 2030, in cooperation with the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” and the Youth Committee of the Supreme Council for Women. The program looks to prepare young people and inform them of their electoral rights, in preparation for the upcoming Parliamentary and municipal elections 2022. The program aims, within its various activities, to raise the level of awareness among young people about the principles of parliamentary and municipal work, and to enhance the concept of responsibility and national partnership in a way that prepares young people and integrates them into public life.

* نشرت صحيفة واشنطن بوست تقريرا تناقش فيه تخلي العديد من التونسيين عن الديمقراطية التي تحققت خلال الربيع العربي نتيجة الإحباط وعدم تحسن الظروف الاقتصادية. ويضيف التقرير أن الشعور باليأس يتناقض مع التفاؤل الذي ساد عام 2011 عندما تدفق التونسيون من الخارج للمساعدة في بناء البلاد ودعم الثورة. كان إحساسهم بمستقبل أفضل معديًا لدرجة أنه انتشر في جميع أنحاء العالم العربي.
* أكد تقرير لموقع "ميدل ايست آي"، أن عدداً كبيراً من الشبان العراقيين العاطلين عن العمل شاركوا في اعتصامات التيار الصدري داخل المنطقة الخضراء، لافتا إلى أنهم يجدون في هذا الإجراء أملاً في حل مشاكلهم. وذكر التقرير أن "العراقيين يعيشون في أجواء ملتهبة في وقت فشلت فيه كل الحكومات المتعاقبة في توفير كهرباء مستقرة أو مياه نظيفة أو خدمات صحية"، وأضاف التقرير أن "المحتجين يسيطرون على مبنى البرلمان منذ 30 تموز / يوليو، بعد اختارت كتلة الإطار التنسيقي مرشحها محمد شياع السوداني، المدعوم من رئيس الوزراء السابق نوري المالكي، لتولي منصب رئاسة الوزراء ".
* تنظم وزارة شؤون الشباب والرياضة برنامج "صوت الشباب" في نسخته الثانية، ضمن فعاليات مدينة الشباب 2030، بالتعاون مع صندوق العمل "تمكين" ولجنة الشباب بالمجلس الأعلى للمرأة. يتطلع البرنامج إلى إعداد الشباب وتعريفهم بحقوقهم الانتخابية، تمهيدًا للانتخابات النيابية والبلدية المقبلة 2022. ويهدف البرنامج ضمن أنشطته المختلفة إلى رفع مستوى الوعي لدى الشباب حول المبادئ البرلمانية والبلدية. العمل البلدي، وتعزيز مفهوم المسؤولية والشراكة الوطنية بشكل يسعى نحو تأهيل الشباب ودمجهم في الحياة العامة.

* A new report suggest that despite the decrease in the national unemployment rate in Morocco, unemployment among Moroccan youth remains high, exceeding 30%, due to the loss of job opportunities in the countryside due to drought. It was evident from the data of the High Commission for Planning that the national economy created 133 thousand job opportunities in the second quarter of this year. However, while 285,000 jobs were created in the cities, 152,000 jobs were lost in the countryside, which had created 405,000 in the same period last year.
* New Arab Barometer report shows that nearly 50% of Jordanians wish to immigrate, 93% of whom are motivated by economic reasons. The report, which surveys people across 14 Arab countries, also showed that men were more willing to immigrate at 59%, compared with 39% of women, as most of the interviewed individuals said they wanted to immigrate to North America. Across the Arab world, young people are the most likely group to think about leaving their countries, as 65% of Jordanians who expressed their wish to immigrate are between the ages of 18 and 29. The highest rates of people wishing to immigrate were recorded in Jordan followed by Sudan and Tunisia. The report also highlights that 56% of Jordanians who wish to immigrate hold a bachelor's degree or higher.
* The Ajloun Youth Directorate in Jordan launched the activities of the job search program, organized by the Ministry of Youth in cooperation with the Business Development Center and with the support of UNICEF, with the participation of 20 young men and women aged 18-26. The training sessions aim to assist and empower young people in developing their skills and abilities on how to search and access career opportunities that suit their aspirations.
* In Jordan, the Business Development Center signed agreements with a number of young people who benefited from the kiosk project in the commercial center in Al-Salt, in cooperation with the Greater Salt Municipality and UNICEF. The signing of the agreements aims to contribute to creating self-employment opportunities for young people in Salt through the establishment of small income-generating projects that contribute to alleviating unemployment rates. The Director General of the Center, Ghaleb Hijazi, said that this pioneering project confirms the importance of investing and exploiting the available resources owned by municipalities and public institutions to find income-generating projects and provide job opportunities for young people in line with the government's strategic plans to stimulate the Jordanian economy and investment.
* The Small Enterprises Development Authority, in Egypt, confirmed its cooperation with various state agencies, since the issuance of the Enterprise Development Law no. 152 of 2020 and its executive regulations in 2021, to provide various aspects of support for projects operating in the informal sector to include it within the formal sector and to benefit from all the advantages offered by the new law, such as technical and financial support opportunities. The agency announced that it has succeeded in incorporating more than 7,000 projects in various governorates within the formal sector.
* سيُعقد منتدى "Youth Market” event is one of the initiatives of the Bahraini Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs to support the youth-led virtual projects toward owning a store in a great location in order to support and market these initiatives to the public. A number of participants in the “Youth Market” event participating in Youth City 2030 will be provided an opportunity to market their products, which contributes to refining their personal skills.

* أطلقت مديرية شباب عجلون في الأردن فعاليات برنامج البحث عن عمل الذي تنظمه وزارة الشباب بالتعاون مع مركز تطوير الأعمال وبدعم من اليونيسف بمشاركة 20 شابا وشابة تتراوح أعمارهم بين 18 و26 عاما. تهدف الدورات التدريبية إلى مساعدة الشباب وتمكينهم في تطوير مهاراتهم وقدراتهم على كيفية البحث والوصول إلى الفرص الوظيفية التي تناسب تطلعاتهم.
* وقع مركز تطوير الأعمال، في الأردن، اتفاقيات مع عدد من الشباب الذين استفادوا من مشروع الكشك في المركز التجاري في مدينة السلط، وذلك بالتعاون مع بلدية السلط الكبرى واليونيسيف. ويهدف توقيع الاتفاقيات إلى المساهمة في خلق فرص عمل حرة للشباب في السلط من خلال إقامة مشاريع صغيرة مدرة للدخل تساهم في التخفيف من معدلات البطالة. وقال مدير عام المركز، غالب حجازي، إن هذا المشروع الرائد يؤكد أهمية استثمار واستغلال الموارد المتاحة المملوكة للبلديات والمؤسسات العامة لإيجاد مشاريع مدرة للدخل وتوفير فرص عمل للشباب بما يتماشى مع استراتيجية الحكومة. خطط لتحفيز الاقتصاد الأردني والاستثمار.
* أكدت هيئة تنمية المشروعات الصغيرة في مصر، تعاونها مع مختلف أجهزة الدولة، وتحديدا منذ صدور قانون تنمية المشروعات رقم 152 لسنة 2020، ولائحته التنفيذية في عام 2021، وذلك لتقديم مختلف أوجه الدعم للمشاريع العاملة في القطاع غير الرسمي لإدراجه في القطاع الرسمي والاستفادة من جميع المزايا التي يوفرها القانون الجديد، بما في ذلك فرص الدعم الفني والمالي. وأعلنت الوكالة في بيان لها أنها نجحت في دمج أكثر من 7000 مشروع في مختلف المحافظات ضمن القطاع الرسمي.

* As the Israeli assault on Gaza resumed, at least ten people, including four children aged between 9 and 11, have been killed in Israeli air strikes in northern and southern Gaza. Since the start of the Israeli strikes on Friday afternoon, there were the most violent Israeli attacks as they also left about 40 others wounded. Four children were among the eight people killed in a strike in Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, two people were killed in an airstrike that targeted a residential building in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

* مع استئناف الهجوم الإسرائيلي على غزة، قُتل ما لا يقل عن عشرة أشخاص، من بينهم أربعة أطفال تتراوح أعمارهم بين 9 و11 عامًا، في غارات جوية إسرائيلية على شمال وجنوب غزة. منذ بدء الضربات الإسرائيلية بعد ظهر يوم الجمعة، كانت هناك أعنف الهجمات الإسرائيلية حيث خلفت حوالي 40 آخرين بجروح. وكان من بين القتلى الثمانية أربعة أطفال في قصف استهدف مخيم جباليا شمال قطاع غزة. في حين استشهد شخصان في غارة جوية استهدفت مبنى سكني في مدينة رفح جنوب قطاع غزة.
التنمية
* The Youth Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, which was held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku between July 25-29, with the participation of Syria, adopted a decision to transform the Non-Aligned Youth Network that was established in 2019 into an international youth organization that upholds the movement’s ideas, principles, and objectives and works to promote and prosper youth in the 120 member countries. The summit discussed many issues of youth, empowering them politically and socially, and engaging them in development and decision-making positions in their countries in order to exercise their important role in the public life of the Non-Aligned Movement countries. The summit included exchanging experiences and activating the movement's role in the regional and international arena, stressing that Syrian youth will have an active role in all cultural, social, and development fields on the international and global arenas.
* The Sakhrah Youth Center in Jordan, in cooperation with the Ajloun Police Directorate – the Anti-Narcotics Department, organized a lecture on combating drugs. The lecture discussed drug abuse, the types of drugs, methods of treatment, and the psychological, health, and economic effects of this scourge along with the damage inflicted on society as a result of drug abuse and addiction problem. The lecture dealt with the important role of the family in preventing the spread of drug addiction in society.

* تبنت قمة شباب حركة عدم الانحياز، التي عقدت في العاصمة الأذربيجانية باكو في الفترة من 25 إلى 29 تموز / يوليو، بمشاركة سوريا ضمن الدول الأعضاء، قرارًا بتحويل شبكة شباب عدم الانحياز التي تأسست عام 2019 إلى منظمة شبابية دولية تهدف نحو دعم أفكار الحركة ومبادئها وأهدافها وتعمل أيضا على تعزيز وازدهار الشباب في الدول الأعضاء البالغ عددها 120 دولة. وناقشت القمة العديد من قضايا الشباب بما في ذلك تمكينهم سياسياً واجتماعياً وإشراكهم في مواقع التنمية واتخاذ القرار في بلدانهم نحو تمكينهم من ممارسة دورهم المهم في الحياة العامة لدول حركة عدم الانحياز. وتضمنت القمة تبادل الخبرات وتفعيل دور الحركة على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية، مؤكدة أن الشباب السوري سيكون له دور فاعل في كافة المجالات الثقافية والاجتماعية والتنموية على الساحتين الدولية والعالمية.
* نظم مركز شباب الصخرة في الأردن بالتعاون مع مديرية شرطة عجلون - إدارة مكافحة المخدرات محاضرة عن مكافحة المخدرات. وناقشت المحاضرة تعاطي المخدرات وأنواعها وطرق علاجها والآثار النفسية والصحية والاقتصادية لهذه الآفة والأضرار التي تلحق بالمجتمع نتيجة تعاطي المخدرات والإدمان. وتناولت المحاضرة أهمية دور الأسرة في منع انتشار الإدمان في المجتمع، وسبل الوقاية منه.
التعليم
* The youth sector of the "Future Movement" indicated that "in light of the severe crises that afflict Lebanon in general and Lebanese University in particular, the youth sector of the Future Movement denounces the dubious disregard in dealing with the university's basic files by the ruling authority combined, and its absence from making any serious effort to find solutions that meet the right demands of the university’s students, professors, and employees.” The statement added "this abandonment of the nation’s university has become a great danger to the current and upcoming academic year, which necessitates the authority to put aside political conflicts and make all efforts required to save the Lebanese University and to act responsibly towards the education sector in Lebanon.”
* A dialogue session organized by the Tomohat Foundation for Capacity Development, in partnership with the We Are All Jordan Youth Authority, discussed investment mechanisms in higher education and ways of development. The session stressed the need to invest in university youth, empowering them with knowledge and skills, and involving them in various decisions related to development. It also discussed that the majority of students were forced to study majors imposed by regulation, laws, and social factors that determined the student to choose a major without taking into account their inclinations and desires, stressing that this created a situation of low level of creativity and excellence.

* ناقشت جلسة حوارية نظمتها مؤسسة طموحات لتنمية القدرات بالشراكة مع هيئة شباب كلنا الأردن، آليات الاستثمار في التعليم العالي وسبل التنمية. وأكدت الجلسة على ضرورة الاستثمار في الشباب الجامعي، وتمكينهم بالمعرفة والمهارات، وإشراكهم في مختلف القرارات المتعلقة بالتنمية. كما ناقشت أن غالبية الطلاب اضطروا لدراسة التخصصات التي فرضتها اللوائح والقوانين والعوامل الاجتماعية المختلفة التي طالما حددت للطالب اختيار التخصص دون مراعاة ميولهم ورغباتهم، مؤكدة أن هذا النهج خلق حالة من تدني مستوى الإبداع. والتميز.
