* Karim Darwish, the head of the administration of the Arab Planning Institute announced that the largest Scout Forum in the Arab world will take place in Kuwait. Under the slogan "Empowering youth", the event is organized through the collaboration of the Arab Planning Institute, the Arab Scout organization, the Kuwaiti Scout Association and the Kuwaiti Girl Guides Association. The event will take place between May 7 and May 12, where 170 participants, from all Arab countries, will attend training workshops and panel discussions which will be focusing on various aspects of development.

* The Bahraini association "Al Kalima Al Taiba" in collaboration with the Arab Planning Institute, has launched the second edition of an initiative meant to prepare young leaders. This initiative will be officially launched by the end of May, with the objective of solving developmental problems in Bahrain and creating new young leaders by promoting the volunteer work led by the youth in the country and amplifying their voices.

* The first edition of the Young Moroccan Architecture Awards is set to take place, after initially being scheduled in 2020 and being cancelled due to the pandemic. The event is organized by Archimedia Group, the leading group in architecture in Morocco, to encourage excellence in architectural practices give recognition to the younger architects. Registration for the competition is open until May 18th, for architects under the age of 45.

* In Egypt, youth centers around the country received around 4 million visitors on Eid al-Fitr, according to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This happened in the context of a new initiative launched by the ministry, entitled "Eid is sweeter in Egypt's youth centers", which aims to heighten the visibility of youth centers in the country and activate their role on a societal level. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, organized various celebrations on Eid, featuring activities that attracted local youth.

* The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports has recently opened 20 Communication and Skills Development Centers across the country. These centers are meant to help the local youth improve their communication skills; through the free services they provide. Young people will be able to develop their speech skills, learn about behavior change and skills development, as well as receive a psychological assessment.

* Hajar El-Beltagy, a young Egyptian architect and member of the Arab Youth Group, was chosen to participate in the Danish outdoor photo exhibition entitled "Arabian Dreams", through which the Arab youth in Denmark shares their experiences. The exhibition is meant to shed light on the activities led by the Arab youth and break the stereotypes surrounding them.

* On Sunday, the Diana Award was introduced to the Omani National Museum. Launched in 1999, the Diana Award is meant to encourage the youth to participate in community service, as it awards a young person between the ages of 9 to 25 for any humanitarian action they might engage in. Her Highness Sayyida Basma al Said, who hosted this Sunday's event, will be the first and only Arab judge for the award. She has stated that the event is "for the youth and by the youth with the aim of establishing a world full of compassionate young people."
