Politics and Political Engagement
* Security forces in Iran killed a young Iranian man after he tore down a poster of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Amol, per BBC Persian. The 21 year old Erfan Rezaei was shot in the shoulder and back by a pistol at close range during the protests. A source said his family was under pressure to say he had been killed by protesters.

* قتلت قوات الأمن في إيران شابًا إيرانيًا بعد أن مزق ملصقًا للمرشد الأعلى علي خامنئي في أمول، بحسب بي بي سي فارسي. وأصيب عرفان رضائي البالغ من العمر 21 عامًا برصاصة في كتفه وظهره من مسدس من مسافة قريبة أثناء الاحتجاجات. وقال مصدر إن عائلته تعرضت لضغوط لتقول إنه قتل على يد محتجين.
Economics and Entrepreneurship
* The World Bank's Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa said that the youth and technology project funded to Jordan has provided 2,672 job opportunities, according to Al-Mamlaka TV. He added that the project currently includes preparing a technology curriculum in government classrooms from the seventh to the twelfth grades, and creating workplaces in communities that do not have adequate services.
* National Bonds, a savings and investment company owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, announced the launch of an intensive professional development program aimed at spreading financial awareness among young people in the UAE. Through this program, National Bonds will enter into a partnership with universities and educational institutions across the country to build financial awareness skills among young people through consultations, seminars, mentorship programs, job training opportunities and other collaborative activities, with the aim of granting talents to enter the labor market in the UAE.

* قال نائب رئيس البنك الدولي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، إن مشروع الشباب والتكنولوجيا الممول للأردن وفر 2672 فرصة عمل، بحسب قناة المملكة. وأضاف أن المشروع يشمل حاليًا إعداد منهج تكنولوجي في الفصول الحكومية من الصف السابع حتى الصف الثاني عشر، وخلق أماكن عمل في مجتمعات لا تتوفر فيها الخدمات الكافية.
* أعلنت شركة الصكوك الوطنية، شركة ادخار واستثمار مملوكة لمؤسسة دبي للاستثمار، عن إطلاق برنامج تطوير مهني مكثف يهدف إلى نشر الوعي المالي بين الشباب في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. من خلال هذا البرنامج، ستدخل الصكوك الوطنية في شراكة مع الجامعات والمؤسسات التعليمية في جميع أنحاء الدولة لبناء مهارات الوعي المالي بين الشباب من خلال الاستشارات والندوات وبرامج الإرشاد وفرص التدريب الوظيفي والأنشطة التعاونية الأخرى، بهدف منح المواهب إلى دخول سوق العمل في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
Conflict
* 5 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli occupation forces in Nablus, including a leader in the "Areen Al-Ossoud (Lion’s Den)" group. The clashes began after special forces entered the city of Nablus, after midnight. Violent clashes erupted between the resistance groups and the occupation forces, which surrounded the leader of the "Areen Al-Ossoud" group inside a house in the Old City before announcing his death. During the clashes, hundreds of Palestinians from all over the city went to the Old City to support the resistance. Dozens of Palestinians were injured during the confrontations.
* The International Commission for Supporting the Rights of the Palestinian People (Hashd) announced its grave concern about the repeated drowning of young migrants from Gaza to European countries in search of a decent life, and to escape the state of poverty, deprivation, oppression, and marginalization they suffer from, as a result of the continuing Israeli siege. Hashd clarified that the last drowning case was the death of 7 people off the Tunisian coast during an attempt to migrate to Europe on October 23. Hashd held the Israeli military occupation authorities and their illegal measures fully responsible for the issue due to its transformation of the Gaza Strip into the largest open prison in the world, according to UN statements, which led to the absence of the slightest manifestations of human life for the population.

* استشهد 5 فلسطينيين برصاص قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في نابلس، بينهم قيادي في مجموعة "عرين الأسود". وبدأت الاشتباكات بعد أن دخلت القوات الخاصة مدينة نابلس بعد منتصف الليل. اندلعت اشتباكات عنيفة بين فصائل المقاومة وقوات الاحتلال التي طوقت زعيم مجموعة "عرين الأسود" داخل منزل في البلدة القديمة قبل إعلان مقتله. خلال الاشتباكات، توجه مئات الفلسطينيين من جميع أنحاء المدينة إلى البلدة القديمة لدعم المقاومة. وأصيب عشرات الفلسطينيين خلال المواجهات.
* أعلنت المفوضية الدولية لدعم حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني (الحشد)، عن قلقها البالغ إزاء تكرار غرق المهاجرين الشباب من غزة إلى الدول الأوروبية بحثا عن حياة كريمة، والهروب من حالة الفقر والحرمان والاضطهاد. التهميش الذي يعانون منه نتيجة استمرار الحصار الإسرائيلي. وأوضح الحشد أن حالة الغرق الأخيرة كانت مقتل 7 أشخاص قبالة السواحل التونسية أثناء محاولة الهجرة إلى أوروبا في 23 تشرين الأول / أكتوبر. وحمل الحشد سلطات الاحتلال العسكري الإسرائيلي وإجراءاتها غير القانونية المسؤولية الكاملة عن القضية بسبب تحولها إلى أصبح قطاع غزة أكبر سجن مفتوح في العالم، بحسب تصريحات الأمم المتحدة، ما أدى إلى غياب أدنى مظاهر الحياة البشرية للسكان.
Development
* The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in partnership with Dawar Association, and with the support the German Development Bank (KFW), launched a network of 51 young fact-checkers in Lebanon with the aim of raising awareness about the impact of fake news and hate speech on society at the local and national levels. The project, which spanned over 11 months, aimed to popularize the culture of news verification and create a network of young fact-checkers who are media students from different Lebanese regions, to be a source of trust in their communities. 51 students from several media colleges participated in trainings on media education, how to combat hate speech, capacity building to combat fake news, in addition to launching campaigns on social media. The training was followed by the launch of an awareness campaign on social media under the slogan “Count to Ten”, inspired by young people, to spread awareness about the dangers of fake news on social stability.
* Mentor Arabia organized a charitable activity in Amman, Jordan, the proceeds of which will go to support the implementation of its awareness and prevention programs and projects in Jordan and the Arab world. During the activity, a short film was shown about the idea and work of Mentor Arabia. Her Majesty Queen Silvia expressed her happiness at the establishment of the Mentor Jordan branch and praised Mentor Arabia's work and its role in enhancing the capabilities of children and youth to prevent them from dangerous behaviors for a healthy and safe life. Her Majesty referred to the positive indicators that the Foundation is working on to improve the mental health of young people through the implementation of preventive and awareness programs at various levels.
* The Danabiq Youth Center in Egypt organized a symposium on combating terrorism, extremism, and accepting the other. The moderator spoke about the concept of terrorism and extremists and the extent of their danger to society. He also explained the causes and negative effects on society. The director of the center also spoke that all monotheistic religions renounce violence and talked about tolerance and reconciliation and the criminalization of abuse in all its forms. The lecturer urged the members of the center not to give in to the wrong ideas and concepts, which cause the emergence of violence in all its forms, the aim of which is to spread strife among all sects in the community.

* أطلق برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، بالشراكة مع جمعية دوار وبدعم من بنك التنمية الألماني، شبكة من 51 مدقق حقائق شابًا في لبنان بهدف رفع مستوى الوعي حول تأثير الأخبار المزيفة. وخطاب الكراهية في المجتمع على المستويين المحلي والوطني. يهدف المشروع، الذي امتد لأكثر من 11 شهرًا، إلى نشر ثقافة التحقق من الأخبار وإنشاء شبكة من مدققي الحقائق الشباب الذين هم طلاب إعلام من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية، ليكونوا مصدر ثقة في مجتمعاتهم. شارك 51 طالبًا وطالبة من عدة كليات إعلامية في دورات تدريبية حول التثقيف الإعلامي، وكيفية محاربة خطاب الكراهية، وبناء القدرات لمكافحة الأخبار الكاذبة، بالإضافة إلى إطلاق حملات على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي. وأعقب التدريب إطلاق حملة توعية على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تحت شعار "كونت حتى عشرة"، مستوحاة من الشباب، لنشر الوعي بمخاطر الأخبار الكاذبة على الاستقرار الاجتماعي.
* نظمت منظمة مينتور العربية نشاطاً خيرياً في عمان بالأردن سيذهب ريعه لدعم تنفيذ برامجها ومشاريعها التوعوية والوقائية في الأردن والعالم العربي. تم خلال النشاط عرض فيلم قصير عن فكرة وعمل مينتور العربية. وأعربت جلالة الملكة سيلفيا عن سعادتها بتأسيس فرع مينتور الأردن وأشادت بعمل مينتور العربية ودورها في تعزيز قدرات الأطفال والشباب لوقايةهم من السلوكيات الخطرة من أجل حياة صحية وآمنة. وأشارت جلالة الملك إلى المؤشرات الإيجابية التي تعمل المؤسسة عليها لتحسين الصحة النفسية للشباب من خلال تنفيذ برامج وقائية وتوعوية على مختلف المستويات.
* نظم مركز شباب دانابق في مصر ندوة حول مكافحة الإرهاب والتطرف والقبول بالآخر. وتحدث الوسيط عن مفهوم الإرهاب والمتطرفين ومدى خطرهم على المجتمع. كما شرح الأسباب والآثار السلبية على المجتمع. كما تحدث مدير المركز أن جميع الديانات السماوية تنبذ العنف وتحدثت عن التسامح والمصالحة وتجريم الإساءة بكافة أشكالها. وحث المحاضر أعضاء المركز على عدم الانصياع للأفكار والمفاهيم الخاطئة التي تؤدي إلى نشوء العنف بجميع أشكاله بهدف نشر الفتنة بين جميع الطوائف في المجتمع.
Education
* Luxor Governorate in Egypt witnessed a workshop entitled “learn 3”, which targeted university students and implemented by the volunteers of the Ministry of Youth and Sports “youth lead youth (YLY)”. The volunteers introduced the initiative and about the achievements they made during the third year since its establishment.

* شهدت محافظة الأقصر في مصر ورشة عمل بعنوان "تعلم 3" استهدفت طلاب الجامعات ونفذها متطوعو وزارة الشباب والرياضة "الشباب يقود الشباب". وقدم المتطوعون المبادرة وعن الإنجازات التي حققوها خلال العام الثالث منذ تأسيسها.
Environment
* The coordinator of the national focal point for the Climate Youth Conference, said that 2022 is a golden year for climate change, explaining: “the United Nations Youth Organization on Climate Change is trying to integrate youth and children into the COP27 negotiation processes, because they are the people most affected by the repercussions of climate change in the future.” The Egyptian coordinator added, “COY, meaning the Climate Youth Summit, was chosen with this name because of the similarity with the COP, that is, the climate summit that is held every year It discusses the same issues as the climate summit.”
* The Directorate of Youth and Sports in Beheira – Egypt, implemented, in cooperation with the General Administration for Youth Development, the General Administration for Voluntary and Scout Programs, and UNICEF, an awareness seminar on climate changes for the Youth Lead Youth in the Freedom and City Youth Centers. This comes in conjunction with the 27th session of the conference on climate change, which Egypt will host in November in Sharm El-Sheikh. The training dealt with the most important concepts of climate changes, their causes and effects, methods of treatment, and the role of the state and community organizations in facing these changes.

* قال منسق نقطة الاتصال الوطنية لمؤتمر المناخ الشبابي، إن عام 2022 هو عام ذهبي لتغير المناخ، موضحًا: "تحاول منظمة الشباب التابعة للأمم المتحدة المعنية بتغير المناخ دمج الشباب والأطفال في عمليات التفاوض المتعلقة بمؤتمر المناخ للشركاء بنسخته الـ27، وذلك لأنهم هم الأشخاص الأكثر تضررًا من تداعيات تغير المناخ في المستقبل ". وأضاف المنسق المصري: "تم اختيار "قمة المناخ للشباب" بهذا الاسم بسبب التشابه مع مؤتمر الأطراف (الاختصار باللغة الإنجليزية)، أي قمة المناخ التي تعقد كل عام وتناقش نفس قضايا قمة المناخ".
* نفذت مديرية الشباب والرياضة بمحافظة البحيرة في مصر، وبالتعاون مع الإدارة العامة لتنمية الشباب والإدارة العامة للبرامج التطوعية والكشفية واليونيسف، ندوة توعوية حول التغيرات المناخية للشباب يقود الشباب في مراكز الشباب (مركز شباب المدينة ومركز شباب الحرية). ويأتي ذلك بالتزامن مع الدورة السابعة والعشرين لمؤتمر تغير المناخ الذي تستضيفه مصر في نوفمبر بشرم الشيخ. وتناول التدريب أهم مفاهيم التغيرات المناخية وأسبابها وآثارها وطرق معالجتها ودور مؤسسات الدولة والمجتمع في مواجهة هذه المتغيرات.
